Ok ladies, being a minority is no reason why we should not participate in a sport in which we are just as competent. The idea behind
ladies-only tournaments is not to exclude men but to get more women involved
in poker. Playing low-cost poker tournaments is a great way for women to learn how
to play and become more able and comfortable in competition. I've never felt
uncomfortable playing with male poker players and I'd like to see more women compete in
major tournaments. For this to happen we need to continue having ladies'
tournaments.
Women can play in any WSOP event, and most of the big-name female professional poker players (e.g. Jennifer Harman, Annie Duke, etc.) won't enter the Ladies Only tournament because, in my opinion, they want to be judged as poker players, not 'female poker players'. Way to go sisters!
The following poker tournaments are open to male and female poker players, ranking is based on both sit-and-go and scheduled poker tournaments score. The score is based on player volume and attendance, the variation of poker games and their limits, and the quality and reliability of the poker room's software.
