Sunday $200,000 Guaranteed

Ultimate Bet is recognized for its generous promotions, but among all of them, their Sunday $200,000 guaranteed is probably the most interesting one. The huge prize-money alone would be enough of a reason to attract attention, but the fact that all sort of more or less famous players are drawn to Ultimate Bet because of it, is an attraction by itself.
That’s right, if you’re a good enough player to survive for a good while, you’ll probably end up sharing tables and rubbing virtual elbows with some semi-professional or professional poker players.
When Ultimate Bet first started the promotion, it appeared it wouldn’t quite work out the way they planned. The buy-in was really steep and the guaranteed prize pool was huge. Few players were drawn to it, (at one point, there were as few as 834 players) and because of that, Ultimate Bet found itself struggling to cover the guarantee.
Nonetheless, the promotion gathered momentum (during the WSOP too, which comes to show you how much interest there really was for the tourney) and some pretty interesting things happened at the tables.
At one point, two players who remained in final heads-up, struck a deal, after they gave each other their phone numbers in the chat-box. Well, I suppose this is high-stakes poker after all, and such deals are not uncommon in high stakes games.
The steep $200+$15 buy-in is not meant to be restrictive. Talent can find its way into the tourney for as little as $5.50, through a set of satellites.
Besides the regular prizes, you also get the chance to knock out one of the Team Ultimate Bet members who also play, in which case, you’ll get your buy-in back.

Nightly Bounty Tourney
Every weekday (from Monday to Saturday) UltimateBet plays host to one of the most interesting promotions in the online poker world. No, the prizes will not be huge in the traditional sense of the concept, but there will be plenty of money out there for the taking, and the idea behind it all is nothing short of brilliant.
We’ve all heard of bounty tourneys, right? You know, the tournaments where there are few players (usually poker pros, or members of the pro team which endorses the room) who have a bounty pinned on their heads. If you manage to knock one of these guys out, you’ll earn a cash prize. Usually, the whole thing is set up in a way that makes it pretty difficult for an everyday Joe to put his hands on the prize.
Because deep down inside we all know we’re everyday Joes ourselves, we don’t see much value in those tourneys.
Well, Ultimate Bet has just revolutionized the concept. In their daily bounty tourneys, there’s a prize on everyone’s head. Even your own! UB’s daily $20,000 tourneys would cost $100+$9 to buy in to, but this way, they’ll cost $120+$9. The additional $20 represents your bounty value. If someone knocks you out, they’ll get to pocket your $20 bounty.

This way, if you manage to make yourself responsible for the demise of as many players as possible, you’ll earn a handsome sum, without ever finishing in the money. You will not lose the amount of bounty earned, upon your elimination.
If that doesn’t sound like a great opportunity to make money, I don’t know what does…
