Omaha/8 Important Tips
Throw a hand away even when they're sure they're beat in.
One of the most important things in Omaha/8 is to know where you are at on every street. Many players will not throw a hand away even though they're drawing dead in a big pot. They will call it down just to discover that they were right about it four bets earlier.
To be a winning player, especially in Omaha8, you have to be able to lay down your losers.
Action: A losing player calling even though he's drawing dead.
Reason: The pot was too big.
There are a lot of large pots in Omaha8 that can be split multiple ways. Players are easily tempted by the amount of money in a pot. However, a hand that is mostly strong in heads-up or three-handed might be too weak in a multi-way pot against several draws. In Omaha8 you might be in a situation where you're fighting 5 or 6 players, and each player is holding 4 cards in his hand. It's jvery difficult to make a two pair on the flop hold up in such cases.
Omaha8 or Better is all about holding the nuts or at least drawing to them.
Hands that work together for both high and low, like A-2-Q-K or A-2-4-K (double suited) is very strong hand.
