WSOP Champ Roland de Wolfe accused in £10m Collusion Lawsuit

Roland de Wolfe, who famously completed poker's Triple Crown by winning a 2009 WSOP event, has been named in a £10 million lawsuit leveled by Iraj Parvizi. The Dubai-based investor is suing Les Ambassadeurs casino while claiming that they failed to prevent collusion by de Wolfe and another poker pro named Josh Gould.

Could WSOP Main Event learn from LeBron James

By most accounts, the 2014 WSOP Main Event was a success. This year's Main Event drew 6,683 players - the fifth largest field in the tournament's history. Moreover, attendance increased greatly from last year's field of 6,352 players. And we can mainly owe the attendance increase to the $10 million guaranteed first-place prize that's up for grabs come November 10th. But is the promise of a giant top prize really a sustainable model for the future?

2013 WSOP Main Event Final Table Appearance makes Sylvain Loosli a French Star

If you look at France today, it's easy to see that they're one of the more poker-crazy countries. Not only do they have plenty of notable pros, but also a thriving legalized online poker market too.

A large reason for the success of French poker today is owed to Antoine Saout. The unheralded player made a surprise third-place run in the 2009 WSOP Main Event, earning $3,479,670 in the process. This strong finish certainly didn't go unnoticed by Saout's countrymen either since thousands of players were inspired to take up the game.

WSOP Regular, Lakers Owner Jerry Buss Dead

Los Angeles Lakers owner and WSOP regular Jerry Buss died this week. He had been hospitalized for cancer last Thursday and was 80 years old at the time of his death.

Despite owning one of the NBA's most successful franchises, Buss still found time to play poker throughout the years. He started as a high stakes cash game pro and commonly played throughout California and Nevada casinos.

Not surprisingly, chip leader Jesse Sylvia is the odds-on favorite to win the 2012 Main Event, but any of the other eight remaining final table players could easily take the title too. Since we're on the subject of WSOP ME winners, let's go over the top payouts in Main Event history.
